Where you’d be working:

This role is part of our Products and Partners group located in Forest Hill VIC and is responsible for enhancing the UX across the Pronto Xi Suite of applications. You will lead our UX team based in Forest Hill.

 

What you’d be doing (your day will look like this):  
The UX Lead will be a visionary leader, ensuring our products deliver seamless and intuitive user experiences. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying and overcoming verbal and non-verbal user obstacles, continuously refining and iterating designs to achieve the highest standards of usability and consistency across our product suite.

Working within an agile development environment, the UX Lead will supervise the UX team working with your knowledge of business processes, following our implementation methodology and working closely with our stakeholders, team members, and Product Managers to enhance the product’s usability from the end user’s perspective, our UX Lead will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the UX team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Developing the skills and effectiveness of UX reports.
  • Facilitating workshops to gather business requirements.
  • Working with third party providers of UX services to complement the internal resources.
  • Aligning UX initiatives with the strategic priorities set by Product Lifecycle Management team.
  • Leading the creation and delivery of key UX artifacts, including user research, personal development, task analysis, and story mapping.
  • Maintaining and ensuring consistency in UX design across all development projects, ensuring high usability and user satisfaction standards of usability and user satisfaction.
  • Conducting in-depth interviews and participate in focus groups to gather valuable user insights.
  • Presenting UX concepts and designs effectively to stakeholders with varying technical expertise.
  • Overseeing comprehensive usability testing, remote access testing, and A/B testing to validate design decisions.
  • Leading the ongoing review and maintenance of UX standards and guidelines to ensure best practices.
  • Ensuring alignment of development outcomes across all departments to maintain consistency.

About you

We’re looking for a new UX Lead who has:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in UX design, interaction design, or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Experience leading and managing UX teams in an agile development environment.
  • Expertise in modern UI/UX design principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating successful UX projects across web, mobile, and software platforms.
  • Experience in user research, usability testing, and incorporating user feedback into design iterations.
  • Proficiency in creating high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and user journey maps.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams.
    Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with a track record of developing and empowering UX team members.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Excellent current knowledge of UX and UI design strategies.
  • Strong understanding of business operational requirements.
  • Experience with high-speed data entry requirements.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and overseas as required.
